Wandering Women is a small group of friendly gay women, taking fortnightly walks in the lovely Hertfordshire countryside and occasionally beyond into Cambridgshire and Bedfordshire. Every walk has a different leader and this means we get to see all pockets of countryside.
They are country walks and the pace is relaxed. The walks are on Sunday mornings and average 5 miles with breaks for refreshments and to have our packed lunch.
Walks ALWAYS end with a well deserved drink in the nearest pub!
It’s a very healthy and relaxed way to meet some ‘like minded’ people and new walkers are always warmly welcomed.

Sunday 11th November:
We will meet in the village of Weston, at The Cricketers Pub, postcode SG4 7DA. Park behind the pub, at 10.15am to start walking at 10.30.
We’ll walk northwards through the village, then take the footpath north-west over about 4 fields. We reach a stretch of woodland which goes north east, on the edge of Baldock. Then we turn south-east on the Icknield Way Trail, then the Hertfordshire Way track, to return to the pub.
The estimated distance is 4.5 to 5 miles. Carry some water and a snack with you for the halfway break.
