Wandering Women is a small group of friendly gay women, taking fortnightly walks in the lovely Hertfordshire countryside and occasionally beyond into Cambridgshire and Bedfordshire. Every walk has a different leader and this means we get to see all pockets of countryside.
They are country walks and the pace is relaxed. The walks are on Sunday mornings and average 5 miles with breaks for refreshments and to have our packed lunch.
Walks ALWAYS end with a well deserved drink in the nearest pub!
It’s a very healthy and relaxed way to meet some ‘like minded’ people and new walkers are always warmly welcomed.

Sunday 24th November
Date: The walk on Sunday November 24th is a familiar one – in Sarratt. It’s four miles along watercress beds, through meadows and woods.
Meeting place: We’ll meet just outside The Cricketers in Sarratt – postcode WD3 6AS. We haven’t permission to use the pub’s car park but there are other places to park along the green. There is parking opposite the village hall which is to the left of the pub – if you are facing the main entrance.
Time: See you there at 10.45 for an 11 a.m. start. As usual bring lunch and something to drink and we’ll stop at a scenic spot before making our way back to The Cricketers for a drink .
Please note the different from usual start time – 10.45 for 11 a.m.
